Sponsoring a Child in Kenya: Anthony

One thing that I wanted to do while in Nairobi was to find a child for my family to sponsor. I asked if there were any fifth graders from Bondeni School that would need a sponsor and they chose a boy named Anthony for my family. It was a thrill to greet Anthony and tell him he was now sponsored by my family. I also gave him the album of photographs that I had brought along to show students what my family looked like. He was very shy, but was beaming after saying "good-bye" and started walking back up the stairs to his classroom. Here is a link to find out more about sponsoring a child in Kenya. It just so happened that this day was also my wedding anniversary, so Sarah got a message that for our anniversary she got a new child!
