Resilient Children

Here is a blog post I made two years ago about the resiliency of children who were grew up in unfathomable circumstances in Africa and went on to great success: Recovering Children in Africa: Great Stories of Survival and Giving Back. I expect to see many many examples of resilient children in the Mathare slums; true survivors. I hope that I can bring some hope and encourage big dreams in these children. I am sure that they will do the same for me!

The bags are packed for Kenya. Here is a bunch of supplies and books from the teachers at New Searles Elementary School and Mount Pleasant Elementary School in Nashua that I brought over in my van..

Here are some of the bags that are now packed for the flight to Kenya. Each pack holds about 50 pounds. There are over 40 bags and tubs in all.
